Angie Falscik

For more than 25 years, Angie has been professionally dedicated to the training, rehabilitation, and rescue of dogs. A large part of her life since she was young, she has fostered and trained more than 500 dogs in her home, and some of them have become wonderful additions to her family. She has also testified as an expert against dog abuse, as well as on behalf of dog owners.

In addition to teaching group and private K9 Nose Work classes and seminars, Angie offers in-person and virtual private training in K9 Fitness programs for sport, working, and companion dogs, along with training expertise around a variety of behavioral concerns.

She is a Certified Canine Athlete Specialist (CCAS) / K9 Fitness Instructor through Northwest K9 Conditioning, and a nationally-sanctioned Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) and Certifying Official (CO) through the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW).

Angie has competed in Nose Work with many dogs and is currently competing at the Elite level with her Belgian Malinois, Ziva. They’ve achieved multiple 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place placements, as well as High in Trial.

Outside of teaching, Angie has fun training her own dogs, Ziva and Bocelli (both Belgian Malinois) in Tracking, Obedience, IGP, Nose Work, Dock Diving, K9 Fitness, Cani-Cross, and Tricks, and she enjoys gardening, reading, exercise, jazz and classical music, and spending time with her family and friends.

My goal is to bring out the best in each dog and their handler with a training approach that focuses on providing clear communication and teaching dogs what behaviors we want to see as opposed to correcting behaviors we don’t.

The fitness and conditioning level of all dogs is one of my biggest passions. Not only does it help keep dogs safe and injury free, but there’s a direct line between fitness, confidence, and behavior in dogs. Fitness is not just for sport or working dogs—it is very beneficial for our pet dogs too!
